Wordpress Integration

  1. 7 years ago

Hi Esotalkers, I'm here with another question/concept.

I'm wondering, based on everyone's time with the software, how easy or possible ANY of the following would be:\

    1. Combining Esotalk with wordpress.
    2. Creating a plugin for Esotalk to work with Wordpress.
    3. Just integrating the Esotalk user system to match wordpress.

Let me know your thoughts or already completed concepts.. or whatever really. Thanks!

  4. Hi,
I am here, I can help with integration and give it to GitHub, if authors will agree.

  16. Two things to consider for all authors in here: Firstly, the code is on github, so fork it and write your own. Set a PR to the team if you think it's working. Keep in mind that esoTalk has a pretty solid plugin-base. Secondly, one should start to define what the integration should look like at all. Most simple idea:

Write a wordpress plugin that automatically creates a conversation when you post. Replace the Wordpress-default commenting system with the one from esoTalk. People need to register before commenting. Link URL of the post to the conversation, so that the relation is always present.

Maybe this is a base to start discussing.
